Is psychotherapy right for me?
Anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and relational distress can be impediments to living each day in a way that feels manageable and gratifying. Such symptoms are our psyche’s way of alerting us to a need to be addressed. Psychotherapy is an opportunity to realize and meet those needs in the support of a therapeutic relationship.
Maybe distressing symptoms are preventing you from meeting your goals, parenting in a way you feel proud of, having rewarding interpersonal relationships, communicating with a partner productively and lovingly, unlocking your creativity, finding yourself again after a major life transition, navigating through grief and loss, and a host of other challenges. Our work together in a thoughtful non-judgemental environment will help you to step into a more meaningful and embodied life.
Approach
My approach is collaborative and tailored to each person’s unique needs, drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Humanistic and Relational Therapies, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I am happy to discuss my style and approach to see if we are a good fit, and to ensure that your therapy experience will meet your goals.
